Preparation is now underway for children who will make their First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist this spring. Students are preparing for First Reconciliation now to celebrate the sacrament in March. Preparation for First Eucharist will begin in March, and students will celebrate the sacrament in early May.
In order to register, candidates must have participated in regular religious education or attend Catholic School for the year preceding enrollment for preparation for First Eucharist. (In other words, these children have been part of a formal first-grade faith formation experience the year before they prepare for these sacraments.) Likewise, candidates for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist must be currently enrolled in regular religious education or attend Catholic School during the year they make receive these sacraments. Older children who have not as yet received either Sacrament are also welcome to register. Students are required to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to receiving First Eucharist.
